Based on the latest statistics, European students love Business, Administration and Law as their core subjects to study, with over 1.2 million Europeans graduating with a degree in these subjects alone. This is followed as a far-away second by Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction and the subjects Health and Welfare. This data is based on the statistics of 2019.
Looking at the most viewed subjects by students today, we might be able to predict a slight shift toward Computer Science. The most viewed subjects at European Universities are Computer Science and Information Systems. This is probably not very surprising, keeping in mind that these are the fastest-growing markets to date. Engineering and Technology come as a close second, followed by Business and Management studies. Management and Economics is a strong contender as well.
All universities in Europe today offer the three core higher education qualifications of Bachelor, Master and Doctorate/PhD. Each one builds on the other, while the Qualification of a Master is what most students go for.
Looking at the most highly regarded European countries students choose for their studies, Germany leads the field as the most preferred place to study, this is followed by Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain, France, Denmark, Belgium and Portugal, in that order. Most universities in these countries welcome foreign students.
